Daisy C.H.A.I.N. Creating Healthy Alliances In New-Mothering Becomes the First Clinical Hours Site In Oregon for UCSD Extension Pathway 2 Students!
Our organization is pleased to announce our partnership with the UCSD Extension Lactation Consultant program. Part of our mission at Daisy C.H.A.I.N. Creating Healthy Alliances In New-Mothering is “to provide the community with research and evidence based education.” One of the ways we achieve this is by providing clinical training to students interested in becoming International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC). Starting a career as an IBCLC is a calling to some and our organization is proud to play a role along the journey toward IBCLC certification. The entire community benefits from more trained and dedicated IBCLC professionals.
“In most states, there currently are not enough IBCLCs to meet the needs of breastfeeding mother-infant pairs.” Surgeon General Call To Action To Support Breastfeeding page 37
